The Burdens of Shaohao **COMPLETE** (English) (FULL HD)
In a new series of six dramatic shorts, we travel back to the time of the last pandaren emperor, a golden age before the land was enveloped by mist. Ten thousand years ago in the ancient empire of Pandaria, Emperor Shaohao asked the Great Waterspeaker to peer into his future. What did the rippling waters foretell?

My weird way of support is to show this 😅
It will be ok. Everything will be ok 😁. Chill
Imagine what would've happened if he had realized that the heart of pandaria could've meant either the people or the literal heart. If he had given up his pride, Blizzard's writers might have found a way to make the heart a weapon against the initial invasion, or had realized the heart was all around him, the people. Of course that's guesswork and they might've meant something else as the heart.
sad. Storytelling in dragonflight is so bad compared to mop.
The beauty in this is that the last Emperor didn't defeat all of the Sha's. He hadn't cleared himself of pride. It was pride that led him to shield Pandaria; thinking it was better then the rest of the world.
I don't think that is shaohao's pride. His pride is that only his sacrifice could save his land and his people. "I am the heart of Pandaria" is his pride. And did it not help and protect Pandaria in the end? Shield it from the senseless killing and demons, and old gods, until the mists were lifted and all hell broke loose in the land of course
@@moscanaveia there's an entire quest line about how Shaohao failed to defeat Pride. His pride was thinking his people were better then the other races.
wow... i self relate alot to this and you are true... thats my pitfall in somewhat sense
Wisdom is so beautiful, and the confort and peace you feel is so great when you are surrounded by the comfort of old age knowledge. Tears of joy come out.
haha yes alexander yes ! indeed seek wisdom in your real life always remember you are here on this earth to seek it and spread it !
i love the story of Pandaria i love the Shaohao emperor They are epic and amazing❤
The White Tiger should lend his teachings to the Admirals of One Piece, they would certainly benefit from it; especially Akainu. Like Shaohao originally felt, Akainu fights only to destroy pirates; not to protect the innocent or save the world
Well thats what absolute justice means
You got that right! Also, glad to meet a fellow One Piece fan

Hallo liebe YT-Community! -> twitch.tv/lordmortar
It has just clicked for me why I recognise the voice actor, its Hondo from Star Wars: Clone Wars!
A true heroes journey, told beautifully.
Sehr dope 🔥 auch nach all den Jahren
Such an awesome and touching story. I thought i knew most WOW lore (up until BFA where I finally quit), but I don't think I've even seen these cinematics before? I recognize much of the lore, but where and when where these cinematics released? Blizz made them and should have released them in some way in conjunction with MoP, so I don't get how I have not seen them or known about them until now, so many years later.
WoW started relealsing these shorts as a sort of story tie in. Pandaria, Warlords, Legion, BFA, Shadowlands and even Dragonflight hhave their own "Lords of War" cinematics. They're even in game! The Burdens and Lords of War cinematics aren't but from Legion Onwards certain interactable objects or events/quests played them. Like at the en of the DH cinematic you get that kick ass Illidan cinematic same with Dracthyr and their cinematics in their leveling zone.
Da hat Bilzzard noch sein wow geliebt 😕
This is so amazing!
The older i get, the more the MoP storyline resonates with me.
that's how you know they truly told a timeless story.
The new Kung Fu Panda looks sick
I come back here from time to time to help me push myself to be better. I loved that game and this legend explains a little bit why.
I love this comment.
Kinda romantic actually.
Äää
How have i never heard of these shorts! The art style is fantastic!
schauhau war der betse dlc!
how did i not know these existed for so long, they are incredible!
another Gem lost in the mists just like one of the best eras of blizzard.. and the best expansion they ever made
It’s not lost … you are
Is it anybody else but me who interpreted surrendering or as they say in Tao ” Wu Wei ” as doing nothing was the way to become one with the land?
Having a morbid sense of humour you mean your casket within the land right?
I dont really understand your question, but i´m gonna try my best to clearify what i meant. The whole MOP expansion was based on Eastern philosophy, and from my speculation it´s based on the the " Taoism Philosophy " specifically. After the emperor had conquered all of his insecurities, the last episode which was about the legion invading Pandaria. The people were terrified and the emperor noticed all the insecurities in the people that he previously had himself. In order to protect his people, he sacrifised himself to become one with the land, thus engulfing the land in mists. So what i meant by " Wu wei " and surrendering, was in this specific case him surrendering to his faith in order to achieve something which was protecting the land. So in Wu Wei they teach the art of doing nothing, and in essence he did nothing as opposed to try to teach the people about the lessons he had learned. Which would be a form of taking action. Hope this explains :)☯️
@Joseph LaGreca nice one ⭐️
god i miss mop
a wonderful story that unlike most of warcraft lore is not bogged down in warfare and bloodshed. Not saying that is a bad thing, it is a world of warcraft after all, but this was so refreshing. a wonderful expac, the last gasp before the acquisition by activision and the slow descent into mediocrity
War is a big part of the story in MoP, and also in the Burdens of Shaohao. The difference here is that the pandas choose to stay out of it, and that indeed is refreshing.
the most underated expansion ever
21:00 - "The truest answers always came from... within." You know, despite Blizz repeatedly stated that MoP is not like Kung Fu Panda... the central theme pretty much is. And the twist of this story almost identical too. And in a good way. I am the Heart of Pandaria or I am the Dragon Warrior. The secrets the protagonist was looking for... lied within. It's true that it can be simply attributed to the fact that both of those stories are based on the same source material, the taoist legend. It is beautifully executed in both cases. I would say that on some level, it's better executed here, because we don't have tons of distracting jokes to go along with it.
They're both chinese and they both have pandas that can fight as far as I'm concerned that's where the similarities end. Kung fu panda was a good movie but it didnt teach me about strength, wisdom, courage, fortitude and hope like MoP did. The strongest I've ever been mentally and spiritually was during MoP the shas of fear, doubt, anger, hatred, and pride weren't just bosses to be defeated in wow but inside myself aswell.
Kung Fu Panda ripped off Tai Fu: Wrath of the Tiger. An awesome PlayStation 1 game.
These are inspired from generations of traditional Chinese and asian philosophies. No movie or videogame can take credit of "inventing" them
The biggest twist of Shaohao's story is that "the power within" is actually his final burden, the Sha of Pride. It's what creates the mists surrounding Pandaria.
Panderen have been a thing way before kung fu panda came out. The movie just came out before mists of pandaria did. I never played them but from my understanding, pandaren were in warcraft 3. Trust me I thought the exact same thing when I first saw the mop cinematic.
Weiß da jemand was genaueres darüber?
3:14 - 3:25 16:32 - 17:41 21:11 - 22:10 22:11 - 22:30 Hits you right in your feels. “And then the last emperor of Pandaria . . . sacrificed all that he was . . . and all that he would be . . . and gave his final breath to become one with the land.” I sob every single time.
MoP gets a lot of hate but I think it was one of the best expansions. Great story, gorgeous scenery and artwork.
DIE BESTE ERWEITERUNG DIE BLIZZARD JE GEMACHT HAT !
i love panda lore
Wahnsinnig tolle Geschichte
whenever I feel down I get back to this video to get back my inner peace.
MoP best expansion ever, pandas best race. the only reason i can get myself to level characters is because i know i will get to the land of pandaria

And to think that the horde gets their strength from anger...
Do they? Tauren, goblins, blood elves, and the Huojin pandas. More than half of the Horde doesn't do the orc rage thing by the time of MoP, and more in later expansions.
The legion's so strong that even the murloc was overwhelmed only by foreseeing the future...
I was confused, but then I remembered that the Jinyu were originally Murlocs that were magically evolved by the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
Legion has felsworn murlocs. They even have wings and horns, like the metamorphed demon hunters. I think it's a nice touch XD
Great atmosphere!!! Ambience
A most beautiful story and I love that they had Jim Cummings as the narrator and as the voice of all the other characters
Indeed. His voice was perfect for this.
Such an amazing story, but that name "Mount Neverest" will always break my immersion. Could've named it anything else, but nah.
so true. good thing is at the beginning
It actually had another name during the beta.
@@cranapple3367 What was it?
@@beastmaster0934 i can't recall - that was like ten years ago - but i remember seeing they'd changed it and being disappointed
How come the hozen (or atleast their king) is portrayed as civilized and a friend to the pandaren, and yet in game hozen are absolute assholes
this need to be a movie like an actual movie
